Pilates focuses on strength conditioning that incorporates mindful-movement with a focus on core stability. Build longer, leaner muscles, improve posture and balance, enhance physical awareness. We’ll progress from increasing your core strength out to the extremities for a dynamic, physical reconditioning.

Suitable for all levels, our classes are a great way to become proficient in the fundamentals of Pilates. You will gain an understanding of the Movement Principles and learn progression and modifications of the Pilates method. Class sizes are kept small to ensure a high level of 1-1 attention and personal modification.

Pilates Mat Series are designed for:

  • Active indivduals looking to improve perfomance and strength.
  • Anyone seeking to get rid fo discomfort or recover from minor injury.
  • A respectful and comfortable movement class.
  • Anyone seeking valuable tools for self-care and self-awareness.

Upcoming Classes

Pilates Mat - Beginner & Intermediate

Best for someone newer to Pilates who already has experience with exercise or for an individual who wants a good, clean workout while focusing on improving posture, mobility and flexibility.

Pilates movements are repeated through a natural progression of new exercises and complexity - helping you carry them over into activities outside of the class.

Please Note: Class size is limited to 8 participants to allow for hands on cueing and personalized routines. There are NO drop ins or substitutions and full payment is required to hold your spot.

  • Personalized Instruction and Cues: As a member this or any other HYP program - you're in the program, each class focuses on the participants through Q&A and requests.

Meet Your Teacher – Jacob McGill

My journey into Pilates began with my own extensive rehabilitation. It was a key component not only in my full recovery, but also to moving into a life of mountain adventures and martial arts.

Pilates is a core tool in my clinical rehabilitation practice and regular practice of a personalized routine is a requirement for my 1-1 clients.

While living in Vancouver, I was an Apprentice of Diane Miller for 8 years. During that time I had the fortune to study with Mary Bowen and Ron Fletcher, original students of Joseph Pilates.

From challenging cases to common everyday tension, Pilates is an effective means to bring the body into balance and alignment.

You benefit from a seasoned approach that has been tested and proven over 20 years of practice. Wherever you are on the pain and mobility spectrum, you’re in the right hands to get the care and results you need.

Pilates helps you realign your posture, strengthen and balance the muscles to support this posture and restore spine flexibility and range of motion in your joints.
